Too often, mortgage brokers who aren't licensed to originate FHA loans try and 'steer' home loan applicants into other, non-suitable mortgage programs that bypass FHA altogether.  FHA loans have been around since 1934 and have been helping people get a piece of the American Dream by opening doors to homeownership that other loan types simply slam shut.
